Joshua Kayman, MD

Joshua Kayman, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families affected by mental health and substance use conditions. He serves as the Medical Director of the Substance Use Continuum of Care for Alameda County Behavioral Health. Dr. Kayman studied at Yale University, earned his medical degree from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and completed his psychiatry residency at UC San Diego. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). He was the first psychiatrist at the Bridge Clinic at Highland Hospital, a nationally recognized low-barrier addiction treatment program, and teaches in the Addiction Medicine Fellowships at UCSF and Highland Hospital.
