Health care teams face constant change—from shifting policies to new delivery models and the everyday challenges of patient care. To support frontline providers and care teams in navigating these demands, the California Quality Collaborative (CQC) has released a new Building Resiliency Toolkit, now available through California’s PATH On-Demand Resource Library.

About the Toolkit

The Building Resiliency Toolkit is a self-paced resource designed to help individuals and teams strengthen their ability to adapt, recover and thrive in the face of challenges. Through five sequential modules, participants will learn practical strategies to:

  • Define and assess resiliency at the individual, team and organizational level
  • Build confidence in leading through change and addressing resistance
  • Apply adaptive leadership skills to complex, real-world challenges
  • Improve communication strategies to embody and sustain change
  • Establish accountability and embed resiliency practices into everyday work

Each module combines key concepts with practical tools and examples, giving health care professionals the knowledge and confidence to foster resilience in themselves and their teams.

Why It Matters

Burnout and stress are persistent challenges across the health care workforce. Building resiliency is about more than “bouncing back.” It means cultivating the confidence and skills to adapt to change, stay grounded under pressure and create sustainable practices that prevent fatigue. By investing in resiliency, organizations can strengthen team performance, support staff well-being and improve patient care.
